This micro-interaction highlights iconic species that are protected by the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF).
The following interaction is a submission to the eLearning Heroes Challenge #314: "How are Designers Using Interactive Maps in Online Training?"
This project was created to showcase interactive maps in eLearning. I decided to create a global map of endangered species. Animals were selected from the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) species directory. Clicking on a map marker reveals the name of a species. The map encourages learners to visit WWF website learn more about a specfic species.
The scrolling map is a gif that I created in Adobe Photoshop. First, I converted the map into a seamless pattern. I then used the keyframes in timeline mode to create a looping animation.
